1. Age:
29
2. Location:
TN, USA
3. When are you available to be ingame:
Varies a bit day to day, depending on my class schedule, and how needy my girlfriend is being, har. I'm on most of the day on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and the weekends. The same goes for night time pretty much all nights of the week except for Monday nights. Sometimes though I'm tabbing in and out, working on school stuff, or more likely on the phone with the old lady (long distance relationship).
4. Character name / level / class:
Thrasos - 50 - Demonologist
5. Past gaming experience:
EQ1: 2001-2004
EQ2: off and on, probably 6 months or so total
World of Warcraft: 2005-2009
Warhammer: Maybe 3 months
Piddled around with City of Heroes, Vanguard, and LotRO.
6. Any previous AoC guilds: (if yes, state why you left)
None
7. What are your (AoC) goals:
Honestly, just to enjoy the game. I do look forward to raiding, but not hardcore. I mean, I might enjoy raiding a few nights a week or even more, but I don't want to feel like I have to. Did that long enough in WoW.
Right now, I'm just looking forward to exploring the game, enjoying the scenery, hitting 80, gearing up a bit, working on tradeskills, and maaaaybe checking out PvP.
8. Why would you like to join TDH:
I've been checking out websites of various guilds since my trial period was over and global opened up for me. Trying to find a group of folks that seem solid and mature. While a few guilds seemed alright, I didn't think "Ah, this is the one" until I looked around here.
Having perused your guild rules, I believe the philosophy of TDH is exactly what I'm looking for. My number one priority while looking at different guilds has been respectability. The thing I have never been able to stand within the social aspect of online gaming is the abundance of guilds who are full of immature jerks that think because they have purple pixels, they are entitled to treat everyone else like trash. While being a good player is fantastic (and in the past I've been vain enough to consider myself that), it's definitely not an excuse to act in an untoward manner. I was a guild leader in WoW for close to a year, until recently, and the values I stressed were the same I see here.
Oh, and I do like the guild name. As ridiculous as it might sound, silly guild names irk me.
9. How do you feel you can be a valuable guild member:
Well, at the moment, I don't suppose I have a lot to bring to the table in-game. But my plan is to be 80 before long (not that I'm rushing, but I am having fun leveling), and I tend to try really hard when it comes to filling my role. I'll admit that right now I'm ignorant of AoC's endgame, but I'll do my best to get up to speed and a become valuable member for grouping and raiding, as well as helping out in whatever ways I can otherwise.
10. How were you referred to this site:
I saw Kelfan advertise recruitment in global tonight (and not every 10 seconds like some people, which immediately attracted me to the website).
11. Are you registered on the official AoC forum and if so, what is your forum name there:
I am not...I read, but have yet to register or post.
Read the Guild Rules and acknowledge that you have read and agree to follow them.
I have, and I do.
PS - Sorry about the book here. I get all sorts of verbose when typing on forums for some reason. I should probably post an abridged (tl;dr) version, hah.
