Below are the guild ranks and what constitutes a player receiving that rank. The Darkest Hour is a social guild with deep ties to its members. Therefore ranks are determined by the activity and participation of a member within the guild and its sponsored events.
Lord of The Darkest Hour
The Lord of the guild is the acting GM and as such oversees the day to day operations of TDH. S/he is the head of the High Council.
Harbinger of The Darkest Hour
Commandant
These are the High Council members of the guild, and with one definition of harbinger being "to herald the coming of" you could say that these high ranking members are at our community's forefront "Heralding the coming of the dawn, in this, the Darkest Hour."
A member receives the rank of Harbinger by being the epitome of TDH, its rules and philosophies. They are expected to be the most active members in the guild and on the forums providing leadership to the guild. They will follow, uphold, and enforce guild rules in a mature and just manner. Harbingers sit on the High Council and as such are given a forum to conduct guild business and vote on guild matters. Harbingers have the ability to hold one of TDH's leadership roles.
Guardian of The Darkest Hour
Knight
Deeply entrenched in our organization, they are caretakers of both our members and our dogma, and protectors of the lower ranked guildmates beneath them.
A member receives the rank of Guardian by proving to the High Council that s/he has put the guild before themselves, willing to help out other members on a regular basis and being an active member partaking in guild events. Guardians have the ability to hold one of TDH's leadership roles.
Enforcer of The Darkest Hour
Squire
These are the newest full members of TDH. Welcome to all the rights and privileges guild membership offers, they haven't climbed the ranks through their great deeds yet.
A member receives the rank of Enforcer once they have attended a guild gathering in order to be properly welcomed as a full member of The Darkest Hour. They have the option of bringing one Alt into TDH and making requests from the Guild Vault.
Watcher of The Darkest Hour
Vassal
This person has completed the application process and is basically a TDH "pledge." They are accepted in the guild, but still on the outskirts until they attend the initiation ceremony.
Watchers can listen and speak in guild chat. However, they are not a full member of the guild until they attend a guild gathering, but they are free to participate in any guild event and use guild facilities.
Champion of The Darkest Hour
This honorary title is bestowed upon the victor of any guild event or member who has done something remarkable for the guild.
Blood Champion of The Darkest Hour
This honorary title is bestowed upon the victor of the guild PvP competitions.
Slayer of The Darkest Hour
This honorary title is bestowed upon the victors of each class PvP competition.
Slave of The Darkest Hour
This is a probation rank for members that have broken guild rules, but whose offense was not major enough to be removed from the guild. Slaves have the ability to listen to guild chat but not speak in it. They have no access to guild resources.
